A CAD-CAE integration approach using feature-based multi-resolution and multi-abstraction modelling techniques
نویسنده
چکیده
In spite of the widespread use of CAD systems for design and CAE systems for analysis, the two processes are not well integrated because CAD and CAE models inherently use different types of geometric models and there currently exists no generic, unified model that allows both design and analysis information to be specified and shared. In this paper, a new approach called the CAD/CAE-integrated approach is proposed and implemented by a feature-based non-manifold modelling system. The system creates and manipulates a single master model containing different types of all of the geometric models required for CAD and CAE. Both a solid model (for CAD) and a non-manifold model (for CAE) are immediately extracted from the master model through a selection process. If a design change is required, the master model is modified by the feature modelling capabilities of the system. As a result, the design and analysis models are modified simultaneously and maintained consistently. This system also supports feature-based multi-resolution and multi-abstraction modelling capabilities providing the CAD model at different levels of detail and the CAE model at various levels of abstraction. q 2005 Elsevier Ltd. متن کاملPseudo Zernike Moment-based Multi-frame Super Resolution
The goal of multi-frame Super Resolution (SR) is to fuse multiple Low Resolution (LR) images to produce one High Resolution (HR) image. The major challenge of classic SR approaches is accurate motion estimation between the frames. To handle this challenge, fuzzy motion estimation method has been proposed that replaces value of each pixel using the weighted averaging all its neighboring pixels i...

An important issue in implementation of a GIS system is preparation of data to be entered in GIS. To produce spatial data for GIS using photogrammetric techniques, conventional method is to apply photogrammetric and GIS systems individually (off-line procedure). This approach is costly, time consuming and somehow unreliable due to the fact that 3D photogrammetric model is not available at the ...
متن کاملA Feature-Based CAD-CAE Integration Model for Injection Molded Product Design
One prominent characteristic of product design for injection molded parts is that design and analysis (e.g. flow simulation) go hand-in-hand to ensure that the design is manufacturable by the injection molding process. Despite the wide use of CAD and CAE systems, it is known that communication between the two processes is poor. In this paper we propose a feature-based CAD-CAE integration model ...
متن کاملEEG Based Brain Computer Interface Hand Grasp Control: Feature Extraction Method MTCSP
Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) are communication systems, which enable users to send commands to computers by using brain activity only; this activity being generally measured by Electroencephalography (EEG). BCIs are generally designed according to a pattern recognition approach, i.e., by extracting features from EEG signals, and by using a classifier to identify the user’s mental state from...
